In the framework of our East-West art dialogue research we’ve published a new article dedicated to a large-scale exhibition BALAGAN!!! curated by David Elliott for MOMENTUM in Berlin in 2015. The exhibition included over 150 artworks by 75 artists from 14 countries from the former ‘East’. We’ve met with David Elliott to talk about the background of the exhibition, his observations on the Russian contemporary art, its roots and connections with Asian and Western artistic traditions and culture, as well as his newly published book “Art & Trousers. Tradition and Modernity in Contemporary Asian Art.” Check the Library section – Articles for the full text.
